Carl Folke among world’s most cited

The Beijer Institute’s director Carl Folke is listed on the exclusive 2019 Clarivate Analytics overview of the world’s most cited researchers.

The list recognizes world-class researchers selected for their exceptional research performance, demonstrated by production of multiple highly cited papers that rank in the top 1% by citations for field and year in Web of Science.

Carl Folke has been among the world’s most highly cited since the start of the list in 2014. This year he made the achievement of being included in two separate categories: “Environment and Ecology” and “Social Sciences”.

In the list 6 300 Highly Cited Researchers are named across 21 research fields within the sciences and social sciences.

The Highly Cited Researchers list from Clarivate Analytics represents scientists and social scientists who have demonstrated significant influence through publication of multiple highly cited papers during the last decade. Researchers are selected for their exceptional performance in the defined fields.
